Traditinal Music Classes in Inverness -The TMC programme is run by Cultural & Leisure Services and is funded by The Scottish Arts Council, Inverness & Nairn Enterprise and received a start-up grant from Inverness Common Good Fund. The programme works in close partnership with other local traditional music organisations. Instruments included fiddle, keyboard, guitar, chanter, whistle, accordion, bodhran as well as Gaelic song, with plans to add ceilidh dance and step dance to the programme. The classes programme currently has over 150 pupils in Inverness alone, plus outreach classes programme that has been running successfully and is expected to transfer to Glenurquhart.
